ASAP Rocky appears to have had enough of the internet, taking aim at online critics during an on-stage rant.
During a recent stop on his Don't Be Dumb tour, the Harlem rapper paused his performance to unload on the criticism that's followed him throughout the album rollout, calling out everything from rumors about his choice in wardrobe to speculation about ticket sales and criticism surrounding his relationship with Rihanna.
"Fuck the internet," Rocky told the crowd. "First they was saying n***a was wearing thongs, then they was saying n***as show wasn't selling out, nobody wasn't coming, then they saying I'm disrespectful to my wife. Suck my dick, n***a."
It's unclear at this time exactly which of his recent shows the rant comes from, but it surfaced online just days after a viral photo sparked claims that Rocky had been wearing thong underwear on stage.
His creative agency and record label, AWGE, quickly responded on social media, revealing its own branded underwear while dismissing the rumors. "DONT BE DUMB YOU PLAYED YASELF. MISTOOK A MIC PACK. YOUR DUMBNESS IS OPPORTUNITY," AWGE wrote, suggesting fans had mistaken Rocky's wireless microphone pack for underwear.
Rocky's comments about ticket sales also appear to be in response to online claims that his tour wasn't drawing crowds. Despite the speculation, the rapper's nationwide run has continued to report strong attendance, with multiple stops selling out as he brings his latest project to fans across the country.
His remarks about disrespecting Rihanna likely reference a separate viral moment from earlier this week during a concert in Phoenix, Arizona.
While speaking between songs, Rocky joked: "Thank God y'all didn't know me when I was single 'cause I would've fucked the shit out of you if you was pretty."
The off-the-cuff comment quickly circulated online, with some fans viewing it as harmless stage banter while others questioned whether it was appropriate given his relationship with Rihanna, with whom he shares three children.
Rihanna has remained one of Rocky's biggest supporters throughout the Don't Be Dumb Tour, attending several shows and recently celebrating him during the Knicks' NBA Finals run.
"My baby daddy brought Vibe back," she said while holding up Rocky's recent Vibe cover. "The vibe has been lost. The vibe has been brought back... I fucked that n***a and I had his babies."
