Curated by Roseay’s LLC and SocialXchange featuring Tequila Herradura, Paris Laundry, and MediaCoin LLC, the event took place on the waters of Miami, where East was the host and captain of a 3 level Maryam yacht.

Later, the rapper and his friends went to an afterparty at LIV Nightclub, where 2 Chainz and Jim Jones made appearances. East also did a surprise performance of his songs “Handsome” and “Phone Jumping.” Paris Laundry put a bow on the festivities by assembling a brunch for Dave East at the restaurant Nikki Beach.

Dave East has returned with a new project titled HDIGH, which stands for How Did I Get Here?

The introspective new tape produced by Mike & Keys features appearances from Method Man, Benny The Butcher, Trae Tha Truth, Kalan.FrFr, Steven Young, ONLYIFWEVIBE, and recent Verzuz contenders Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild. The new nine-track tape also arrives after Dave East dropped the video to his single “Bet It” a few weeks ago. The video was created in collaboration with Draft Kings and was directed by Reel Goats, but the single itself doesn’t appear on the project. Dave also celebrated HDIGH with a release party in New York last night, which Complex also attended.

HDIGH is the first project to come from the East Harlem rapper since he linked up with Harry Fraud in 2021 for their collab tape Hoffa, which featured appearances from G Herbo, Jim Jones, French Montana, Cruch Calhoun, Kiing Shooter, Currensy, and others.

The 2016 XXL Freshman also linked up with Super Bowl LVI Halftime performer Mary J. Blige back in February for her single “Rent Money”, and even appeared alongside the legendary crooner in the track’s music video. The video, which dropped right before Mary J. Blige dominated the Super Bowl stage, featured Dave East as a casino dealer, as he rapped about the dangers of clout chasers.

After Mary J. Blige’s big halftime performance, she stopped by The Breakfast Club and was asked at one point why she linked up with Dave. “Dave is a dope, talented artist who’s always thought-provoking in his lyrics and a beautiful person,” she said.
