Dave East and Harry Fraud have delivered the New York-centric visuals for their track “Just Another Rapper,” which features cameo appearances from Fabolous, Nelly, Maino, and Dapper Dan.
As the legendary Dapper Dan tailors East’s custom Gucci vest, the rapper spins tales about how he has set himself apart from other rappers in the game. Directed by Grizz Lee, the video shifts from East’s moments of self-reflection in the house to traversing in the streets with Brooklyn veterans like Fabolous and Maino, and even Nelly pops up to make a brief appearance.
When talking about the video and the individuals who make a cameo, East expressed how thankful he is to be able to call these influential figures friends.
“Shouts to the legend Dapper Dan for everything, he brought this video to life and I’m thankful for his continued friendship,” East shared. “I had to have my brothers Fab, Nelly, and Maino pull up too. I’ve been working with Grizz Lee, the director of ‘Just Another Rapper,’ for damn near a decade. We always cook up something special! And salute Harry Fraud for producing a masterpiece with Hoffa!”
“Just Another Rapper” comes off Dave East and Harry Fraud’s collaborative project Hoffa that included features from G Herbo, Benny the Butcher, Jim Jones, Steven Young, French Montana, Cruch Calhoun, Kiing Shooter, and Currensy. Another song from the project, “Uncle Ric,” also received a Willc & YB-directed music video.
