Earlier this month we learned that The Weeknd's next album, Beauty Behind The Madness, is set for release in just a few weeks. Leading up to the drop though the Canadian singer has just broken a Billboard sales record as the first artist ever to lay claim to the No. 1, No.2, and No. 3 songs on the Hot R&B singles chart. The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face" held onto the No. 1 spot this week as "The Hills" jumped from No. 4 to No. 2. Meanwhile, The Weeknd's Fifty Shades Of Grey original "Earned It" stayed put at No. 3, according to Billboard.
The closest runner-up to The Weeknd's recent record-breaking sales performance came via Robin Thicke in 2013 when his simultaneous hits "Blurred Lines" and the Kendrick Lamar-featuring "Give It 2 You" sat at No. 1 and No. 3 respectively for three weeks on end.
