It looks like Nicki Minaj is indeed planning to take things to the next level with Kenneth Petty.

According to E! News, Minaj and Petty have officially obtained a marriage license from the Beverly Hills courthouse. This may come as a shock to fans as Minaj claimed on a Queen Radio episode from last month that she and Petty had already gotten a license. According to a source, the license is good for 90 days meaning Minaj and Petty are planning on having the wedding fairly soon.

Last week, on Chance the Rapper’s The Big Day, Onika hinted at her future with Petty, rapping, “My n***a home now, he the Clyde to my Bonnie/‘Bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy

Minaj announced she was dating Petty in December 2018. This move came with backlash as Petty is a registered sex offender who was convicted of attempted rape when he was 16 years old. Petty also served four years of a 10-year sentence after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter in 2006. Despite this, Minaj has constantly fought back against fans and critics who condemn her for dating Petty.

"Go awf Internet," she said when his past was revealed. "Y'all can't run my life. Y'all can't even run y'all own life. Thank you boo."

Nicki has also referred to Petty as her husband/soulmate on several occasions, increasing speculations that wedding bells are in the near future.
