Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith Says a New Kendrick Lamar Album Is 'Coming No Time Soon'

TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith shared a note on IG, squashing rumors and letting everyone know that a new Kendrick Lamar project will not be arriving soon. "ATT: KDOT DON'T HAVE A NEW ALBUM COMING NO TIME SOON," he wrote in all-caps.

Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith recently went live on Instagram and filmed TDE artist Isaiah Rashad telling fans that he recently heard "damn near" a whole new Kendrick Lamar album.

The video was later chopped up and shared on social media, leading fans to speculate that a new Kendrick album might arrive before the end of the year. Unfortunately, Tiffith shared a note on Instagram Tuesday evening, letting everyone know that a new Kendrick project will not be arriving soon. "ATT: KDOT DON'T HAVE A NEW ALBUM COMING NO TIME SOON," he wrote in all-caps. Then Tiffith took the opportunity to plug Kendrick's Pulitzer Prize-winning album one more time: "So keep playing DAMN until the kid is inspired again."

While it now seems unlikely that we will hear a new Kendrick Lamar album before the end of 2018, Tiffith did recently reveal that fans should expect at least two more albums from TDE before 2019 rolls around. Then he opened the door for more releases by saying he's "trying for 4."

i have 2 more for y'all now... I'm trying for 4 https://t.co/7aiBbZn0e7

ScHoolboy Q seems like the most likely candidate to release a new album in the next four months. Even Tiffith himself admitted in early August that Q's follow-up to 2016's Blank Face is "90 to 95% done." Of course, as Rashad pointed out during the aforementioned Instagram Live session, "SZA’s hair is green, so you know it’s going to be fire. You never know what’s going to happen."
