Top Dawg Has 2 More Albums Coming This Year and Is 'Trying for 4'

Top Dawg Entertainment co-founder Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith said Wednesday that the label is currently ready with two more new releases, though he's still shooting for four.

2018 is going to bring us at least two more new releases from the Top Dawg Entertainment roster.

Late Wednesday, TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith decided to answer a series of fan inquiries, including what we can expect from the label in the remaining months of the year. "I have 2 more for y'all now," he said. "I'm trying for 4."

@dangerookipawaa How many more projects should we expect from TDE this year?

Though it's unclear which TDE artists Tiffith is promising new projects from this year, it's seemingly unlikely it would be Kendrick Lamar. Following the release of his excellent 2017 album Damn, Lamar hit us with the collabs-stacked Black Panther album less than a year later.

One obvious leading contender is Schoolboy Q, whose last studio album was the excellent Blank Face LP back in 2016. In fact, Tiffith himself said earlier this month that Q's presumably just-as-excellent new one was "90 to 95 percent" finished. In the months since the Blank Face drop and "That Part" ubiquity, Q has blessed us with a run of one-offs including "Addicted to Ballin" and "Cut Throat."

So far TDE has given us SiR's November and Jay Rock's Redemption in 2018.
