The party was thrown in celebration of Travolta, who was honored with Variety’s first Cinema Icon Award on Tuesday night for his new film Gotti, which he produced and stars in, and which premiered at the annual film festival. He donned a full tuxedo for the event, and wore it while joining 50 on stage, which made his dad dance moves that much more perfect.
While it looks like Travolta’s a fan of 50 Cent, he also seems to be a big fan of Pitbull as well. Pitbull will be making his debut as a composer for Gotti, per The Hollywood Reporter. Pitbull also wrote and performed an original song for the film called “Amore,” which will debut as a single shortly before its release.
“Music has played an integral part in the success of some of my biggest films, and Armando [Pitbull's birth name] is one of the most electric talents in the music industry today,” Travolta told THR. “Everything about him—his style, creativity, and culture—make his scoring of Gotti the perfect marriage of the artist and the material.”
Gotti will release nationwide on June 15.
