UPDATED 8/17 3:49 p.m. ET: Body camera footage of 6ix9ine's recent arrest for missing a court date has surfaced online.

In the 18-minute video, as first published by Law and Crime, the controversial 27-year-old rapper was approached by officers with an active warrant for his arrest on Aug. 9. 6ix9ine failed to turn up to court for three traffic tickets that he received in June after he drove over 130mph in a 65mph zone.

When he's told about the warrant for his arrest, he asked why. "You didn't appear for court," he's told. "I didn't know that. When? For What?" he replied. "I never received a ticket." After he was taken into police custody and placed in the back of a cruiser, he briefly argued about who would be driving his vehicle home. "I still don't get it. All my cars I put under my brother's name, I don't put nothing under my name," he continued.

"You know what’s so crazy? I get pulled over all the time, every single time, but the paperwork never be in the car but every cop knows my cars. I got all my cars, they know," he told officers. "I’m telling you, they know my insurance good, my license good, everything is always good. That’s why I don’t care.”

Court docs obtained by the outlet show that he was apprehended due to three traffic tickets. In June, police pulled him over when he was driving 135 mph in a 65 mph zone on the Florida Turnpike. He was also given citations for driving an unregistered vehicle and not having car insurance.

He was then mandated to appear in court in July but didn’t show. A judge subsequently issued a warrant, which led to his arrest on Wednesday.

The rapper has had many legal troubles during his career, most notably working with the FBI in his 2018 racketeering case. He’s since been labeled as a rat by many, including Boosie Badazz, 2 Chainz, Benny the Butcher, Snoop Dogg, and more.

Earlier this year, 6ix9ine was also targeted by a group of men who beat him up in a Florida gym. 6ix9ine was hospitalized and the men were later arrested on assault and robbery charges.
