Lil Xan's 'Total Xanarchy' Album Is Here

It’s safe to say most of you had never heard of Lil Xan before last summer; but within the past several months, the polarizing 21-year-old rapper has made huge career moves, dropping hits like “Betrayed” and “Slingshot,” collaborating with acts such as 2 Chainz and Diplo, as well as headlining a 25-date North American tour.

Tonight, Xan reached another major milestone with the release of his debut album Total Xanarachy. The 15-track project includes guest appearances by YG, Charli XCX, Yo Gotti, and Rae Sremmurd.

“The album definitely is a wide assortment of songs. You know, we got more, like, the bangers, but we also have the lullabies,” he said on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning last month. “It’s just different […] This album is where I feel like I shine with the whole creativity. It's a lot of stuff people haven't heard. It's a very mature sound. I don't think they're going to expect it.”

Xan found himself in hot water earlier this year after he made some controversial comments on the late, great 2Pac. During an interview with Revolt TV, the rapper was asked to rate a series of people, songs, items, and trends on a scale of 1 to 9. When asked what he thought of Pac, Xan gave the artist a “2,” insisting his music was “boring.”

Needless to say, countless rappers and hip-hop heads went in on Xan.

“I would have to say the wackest in the game right now would have to be Lil Xan, for what he said," Rich Homie Quan said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. “I ain't never even heard his music. I don't have a bad heart. I'm basing it off of what he said. You know, I messed up Biggie's lyrics but I ain't never say nothing bad about Pac or bad about Biggie. They tried to take my head off.”
