Serving as the end credits to the season, Labor Day is the unofficial end of the summer. (The first day of fall is technically September 23, but the public school calendar shapes more lives than the Farmers' Almanac.) Time to trade in the jorts and rooftop functions for olive parkas and pumpkin spice everything.

In addition to preparing to be washed for the rest of the week, we're also looking back at the artists that made the most of the last few months: Drake, Fetty Wap, Future, N.W.A. (!), and The Weeknd. Each one contributed to our summer frenzy in different ways, be it chart topping singles, blockbuster films, or lukewarm rap beef. This summer was lit thanks to these folks, but there can only be one winner. Sort of like Highlander.

Check out the video above to see who owned the summer and if they'll be able to sustain their momentum throughout the rest of the year.
