50 Cent has postponed the latest stop on his Final Lap Tour due to extreme heat conditions.
On Monday night, Fif, who was scheduled to perform in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, took to Twitter to announce the news. The news arrives just days after 50 performed in Dallas despite having to endure 100-degree weather.
“Due to extreme heat, the show tomorrow in Phoenix, AZ is being postponed,” 50 wrote. “For anyone who would like a refund, please go to point of purchase for instructions. I’ll be back in Arizona soon! 116 degrees is dangerous for everyone.”
50 Cent was set to hit the outdoor stage at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre Tuesday night alongside Tony Yayo, Busta Rhymes, and Jeremih. The concert marks the latest stop on his Final Lap Tour, which is celebrating the 20th anniversary of 50's landmark 2003 debut Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.
As reported by the Dallas Observer, 50 hasn't shied away from expressing that this may in fact be his last nationwide trek for awhile.
“I want to personally thank everyone for coming out tonight in advance because it has been amazing,” he told the crowd at Dallas' Dos Equis Pavilion last week. “I have so many things going on in film and television that it is putting me in a different direction. I got goals that I want to achieve there too. So I won’t be able to commit to a full tour like this."
Fif continued by addressing the 102-degree weather he battled during his Dallas show.
“103 dates. This is show No. 25,” 50 shared. “Live Nation set me up. Put me in Dallas. 102 fucking degrees.”
