Joyner Lucas recently dropped his controversial "Devil's Work" video, in which he pays his respects to deceased musicians such as 2Pac, Michael Jackson, and Nipsey Hussle. The song also sees him suggest that people "who deserve to die instead" are traded with those who passed, specifically targeting the likes of Suge Knight, Donald Trump, George Zimmerman, and Tomi Lahren among others. Unsurprisingly, Lahren in particular was not happy.

The far-right political pundit said she thought it was a step "too far," while also referring to what he said as "disgusting." On the song, he rapped, "I pray you give us back the real ones and try again/Or maybe take them n****s that deserve to die instead/Tomi Lahren run her mouth and then get defensive/Laura Ingraham laughin' at death and disrespectin'/I really feel like you should teach them stupid hoes a lesson."

While her criticism on "Devil's Work" was clear-cut on Twitter in a series of since-deleted tweets, she took somewhat of a softer stance upon sliding into his DMs. "Although I don't appreciate you depicting and calling for my death in your latest music video, I would like to sit down and talk with you on or off camera," Lahren said to Lucas. "Maybe we can find some common ground."

Lucas posted a screenshot of the message on his Instagram, writing, "I wonder how this conversations gonna go."

While it's not clear if he intends to sit down with her or not, he at least seems open to the idea.
