"Out of All the times the internet tried to tear me down …. I held my spot down head up through it all and came out smiling on top," Harris said, appearing to address the criticism.

T.I.'s 19-year-old son King Harris is facing criticism after he reportedly offered a homeless man $50 to take part in the viral "One Chip Challenge"

In a video that was reportedly posted to his Instagram Stories on Friday, September 8, the rapper approached a man outside of a store and offered him to try the incredibly spicy Paqui chip in exchange for $50. However, he said he would only give the man the money if he were able to go without water for five minutes after eating the chip. In the distressing video, as seen below, Harris and his friends can be heard laughing at the man as he struggles with the heat.

"You gone’ lose if you drink it," Harris can be heard saying in the video. The man eventually drinks from a bottle of water and Harris does not give him the $50. "He done lost," he said. "But I done gave him $20."

The clip was met with backlash online. "Let’s have a moment of honesty with @Tip. Pardon me Cliff, but your son has a problem," wrote one person on X, the social media network formerly known as Twitter. "He needs discipline. He needs guidance. He needs to mature. And most of all, he need his ass beat. Stop recording yourself saying and doing dumb shit."

Another user added, "Why do y’all like to harass people who already have nothing, just to give them the bare minimum? Like BFFR bro."

Stop recording yourself saying and doing dumb shit. You sound pretty educated when you speak… https://t.co/I4fmHjFrVh

Harris seemingly addressed the criticism in a post shared to Instagram on Monday, September 11.

"Out of All the times the internet tried to tear me down …. I held my spot down head up through it all and came out smiling on top," wrote Harris alongside photos of himself. "Shout out to my REAL supporters and fans for never switching up on me 💙"

His video comes not long after Paqui, the company behind the viral spicy tortilla chip challenge, announced plans to remove the "One Chip Challenge" from shelves. The move comes on the heels of a Massachusetts teenager dyingmove after taking part in the challenge.

"The Paqui One Chip challenge is intended for adults only, with clear and prominent labeling highlighting the chip is not for children or anyone sensitive to spicy foods or who has food allergies, is pregnant or has underlying health conditions," reads a statement on the company's website. "We have seen an increase in teens and other individuals not heeding these warnings. As a result, while the product continues to adhere to food and safety standards, out of an abundance of caution, we are actively working with our retailers to remove the product from shelves."

T.I.'s son is no stranger to criticism. Last month, he went viral after he revealed his shiny new teeth, which his parents later defended when fans roasted the then-18-year-old.
