Rising Syracuse, New York artist Stove God Cooks has teamed up with producer Superior for their smooth new track “161.”

Taken from the duo’s upcoming two-pack release The God That Sat by the Stove, “161” sees Stove God thriving over the sample-heavy throwback production. With a distinctively East Coast attitude and a production style that perfectly matches the rapper’s gruff delivery, “161”—premiering above—proves why these two make such a compelling pair.

The song is Stove God’s first of 2022 and will be complemented by “Sweet Dreams” when the pack drops this Friday, March 25.

Earlier this month, Stove God Cooks received a big co-sign from Kevin Durant on Twitter.

“Stove God one of the best rappers in the world. Appreciate that man,” the NBA superstar wrote.

Ever since Stove God dropped his amazingly titled 2020 debut Reasonable Drought produced by Roc Marciano, the rapper has continued to build momentum. He’s since worked with the likes of Busta Rhymes, the Alchemist, Conway the Machine, 2 Chainz, and Benny the Butcher.
