Lil Wayne has been sued for wrongful termination by his former personal chef, who said she was fired after she had to deal with a personal emergency, TMZ reports.

Morghan Medlock filed her lawsuit against Weezy this week, and accused the rapper of unlawful practices and firing her after she went to help her injured son. According to legal documents, she described a trip to Vegas with Wayne during Memorial Day weekend, when she needed to return to Los Angeles after she was informed her 10-year-old had been hospitalized with a head injury.

Medlock had been working with Wayne as a personal chef for approximately two years, and said that he delayed the flight back to Los Angeles by smoking on the aircraft. She decided to leave and get her own flight, and told his assistant about the situation. It was at this point that she was terminated.

After leaving to check on her son, Weezy’s team asked Medlock if she was quitting her job and she told them she was not. When she attempted to go back to work as his head chef, Medlock was allegedly ignored until someone on his team told her she had been let go over a text message. “Tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work,” Wayne allegedly told her through someone who works with him.

Medlock is seeking $500,000 in damages from Wayne, who she said violated California law because it’s not a justified termination of contract to miss work to care for a sick or injured child.
