Atlanta rapper and Lil Yachty associate Kodie Shane has been gearing up for her debut album, Young Heartthrob, for a while now. With the release just around the corner, she's seen fit to share "Thinking Bout U," an album cut that offers up another example of why Kodie is one of Atlanta's finest out right now.
Backed by lively guitars and skittering hi-hats, "Thinking Bout U" is an energetic burst that exemplifies the 19-year-old rapper's distinct approach to hip-hop. She spends a few bars bringing up some of her favorite rappers. "I like Lil Wayne but see my girl she like Yung Gunna/Listening to Thugger, I remember when I loved her," she raps on the melodic new track.

Earlier this month, Kodie Shane shared her Stay Tuned mixtape, which featured appearances from Yachty, Saucy Longwe, Famous Dex, Rich the Kid, Smooky Margielaa, and Trippie Redd. The tape serves as a prelude to the forthcoming full-length album and is available to stream below.
There's still no date for Young Heartthrob, but it's expected to drop sometime before the end of the year.
