Casanova is currently behind bars as he awaits sentencing on a series of racketeering and narcotics offenses, but he's reportedly been a victim of an attack by a fellow inmate not long after he condemned his past criminal activity with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Bloods Gang.

Per NBC New York, Casanova got "slashed" in a "vicious altercation with another inmate." The Brooklyn rapper was involved in a fight on Thursday, June 15 at the Essex County Correctional Facility, where he is being held as he awaits sentencing following his guilty plea on multiple felony charges.

Internal reports from correction officers say he was "slashed" with a blade-like weapon across his face by another inmate, Ulysses Lugo. He then chased the attacker alongside other inmates and retaliated by cutting "Lugo's face several times." An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

“Inmate Lugo? You couldn’t see his face because it was saturated in blood," said one officer, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "His whole uniform was saturated in blood. Inmate Senior [Casanova] was sitting there and blood was just coming out of his face.”

Earlier this month, it was reported that Casanova asked a judge for leniency by renouncing his association with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Bloods Gang. In the letter sent to the judge, he said that he will speak publicly about severing ties with the gang in the future. Also included in the letter was statements from his family and friends, who expressed hope in securing a lighter sentence for the rapper.
