Camila Cabello isn’t going anywhere, and she doesn’t want you to either.

On Friday, the pop star revealed her latest single, “Don’t Go Yet,” which is set to lead fans into her third studio album, Familia. Cabello writes on social media that she wrote the colorful track after listening to Cuban songs alongside a producer, but its video is just as bright as its blaring horns.

“In a bed, I bet that you think that you know, but you don’t/Baby, come to mama/I get, I get what I want when I want,” Camila sings.

Complete with what looks to be a claymation scene, choreo on a kitchen table, and a celebratory outro, Cabello gets in touch with her Cuban roots in the new video, as her upcoming album’s title would suggest.

Speaking with Zane Lowe on Friday about her latest era, which comes just two years after the release of her sophomore LP Romance, the former Fifth Harmony star explained to the New Music Daily host that with Familia, she wanted to “manifest collective joy.”

“I was like, ‘I don’t want to be alone on stage, I don’t want to be alone hopefully doing the tiny desk.’ I want it to be that kind of family affair selfishly, because it would make me happy,” Cabello shared. “It would make my life better and that’s what I want, so that’s really what I was trying to manifest with this whole album. And I think “Don’t Go Yet” is just, sonically and melodically, me being free. I think being in Miami for so long and having more family around me and speaking Spanish more made me feel, I don’t know, just brought me back. I think my roots went deeper in a way that I really needed.”

During her discussion with Lowe, Cabello also spoke on struggles with mental health, seeing her boyfriend Shawn Mendes hop on artist Camilo’s “KESI” remix and the break she took before jumping into “Don’t Go Yet”—as she’s worked on her upcoming Cinderella film.

“When it was time to get back in the studio I was like, “Okay, I want to do this differently than I ever did it before.” I want to just work with people that are my friends first and people that I build intimate relationships with and I want to do it in an intimate way,” she shared. “So I became close with Scott Harris who was a frequent collaborator of Shawn’s. I was like, “Hey, do you want to write together?” And it started off he and I in my bedroom in my house in Miami. And then we brought it over to LA, we brought along Mike Sabath and Ricky Reed and then we made this song.”
