Travis Scott Performs Surprise Set at NBA 2K19 Launch Party in New York

La Flame surprised NBA 2K fans on Wednesday night at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn. He performed cuts from his new album 'ASTROWORLD.'

Travis Scott surprisedNBA 2K19 fans last night in Brooklyn by delivering an unannounced set at the release party in Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse.

Earlier in August, La Flame announced he would be an executive producer on the game and curating its soundtrack, so if anyone could be expected to give a surprise performance, it would definitely be Travis.  He performed cuts from his new album ASTROWORLD, including “Sicko Mode” and “Stargazing,” then took it back with tracks like “Butterfly Effect” and “Antidote.”

Alongside his own tunes, Scott curated music from other huge artists like Migos and Lil Uzi Vert, and more lowkey groups like Brockhampton and Higher Brothers for the NBA 2K19 soundtrack. He’ll also make an appearance as a character within the game.

"It means a lot, cause you know it reaches a lot of people in different communities, so to be able to be in the game it just inspired me," he told LeBron James during an interview about his new role in the 2K franchise.
