The life of the rich and famous is not all it's chalked up to be, according to Bieber.

A papal Rihanna and renaissance Lana Del Rey may still have you feeling starstruck over Monday night’s holier-than-thou Met Gala. But it’s not all fun and games guys, at least not according to Justin Bieber.

The Biebs shared a little nugget of wisdom with fans via Instagram on Tuesday: being famous isn’t all it’s chalked up to be. “Hey world, that glamorous lifestyle portrayed by famous people on Instagram. Don't be fooled thinking their life is better than yours,” he wrote in an iPhone note. "I can promise you it's not!"

Well sure, celebs probably don't always live a charmed life, but I'm certainly not going anywhere head to toe in Maison Margiela anytime soon. It's unclear if the “Sorry” singer is speaking from personal experience, or attempting to make himself feel better after his gorgeous ex-girlfriends Hailey Baldwin and Selena Gomez graced the red carpet.

Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you’re only finishing up 5 albums 😂🔥😂❤️ https://t.co/7r5SbJZoeX

Bieber wasn't the only celeb noticeably absent from last night's affair. Beyoncé and Jay Z missed the Gala, as they were on a well-deserved vacation ahead of their international tour, and Kanye did not appear alongside his wife Kim, because he was busy finishing up all those albums he promised would be here come June. He did take a break from the work to appreciate Kim's look, though.
