Nav reconnects with Travis Scott and Gunna on his new single “Turks.”

The Wheezy-produced track was previewed several times throughout the last several months, but we didn’t know its official drop date until this week.

“Fuck, should we just drop it tomorrow,” Nav asked Gunna during an Instagram Live session. “Fuck it, they've been begging me for it, I'll just put it out tomorrow … That's it, fuck it, tomorrow 'Turks' coming out tomorrow.”

Nav came through and released “Turks” at midnight Friday, as promised. Nav discussed the track during an interview with Beats 1 radio host Zane Lowe: “We're just catching a vibe, we're all on vacation ... I started rapping on it, then Gunna overheard it, and Travis blessed it with a verse.”

“Turks” marks the second collaborative cut between all artists, following Scott’s ASTROWORLD track “YOSEMITE” (2018).

The Toronto-bred rapper also teased his next full-length project, saying it was expected to arrive sometime in the next few months.

“We don't have a date for it, but yeah, the world situation right now kind of switched up everybody's game plan,” he told Lowe, referring to the COVID-19 crisis. “We were kind of all in shock. You know how you supposed to do a release party, how you supposed to do all that stuff now? It's kind of weird, right? We just play it by ear day by day.”

Nav went on to say he and Scott have been working on some material at Cash's home studio, and confirmed he was cooking up some music with Tay Keith and Boi-1da. He also revealed that his next project would include a posthumous verse from Pop Smoke.

"That night we did 'Wolves' ... we squeezed out another song,” Nav said. “You know? Yeah. It kind of gives like a different kind of vibe to it. It's kind of a melancholy vibe to it.”
