Lil Uzi Vert is in solidarity with Rihanna.

Fans are still anticipating the release of Uzi’s Eternal Atake and RiRi’s R9. So much so that one user tweeted Uzi, writing, “you gotta drop the album before Rihanna drops hers.”

Uzi wrote back, “We on the same team if I drop she drop IF SHE DROP I DROP.”

Uzi’s album has been delayed for what seems like forever. Last June, when a fan asked the rapper when we could expect his follow up to Luv Is Rage 2, Uzi said, “I don’t know, honestly.”

There has been some hope though. In December, Uzi dropped the Eternal Atake single “Futsal Shuffle 2020,” and later, in January, he released the song’s video. He’s also appeared on several albums over the last few months: Young Thug’s So Much Fun, Yo Gotti’s Untrapped, and A Boogie’s Artist 2.0.

As for Rihanna, that situation is a bit more critical. In early February, when the singer was asked when we could expect her ninth studio album, she told Entertainment Tonight, “Dot. Dot. Dot. To be continued. … I like to antagonize my fans a little bit. Well, they antagonize me, too! So, they get it right back.”

RiRi hasn’t dropped a project since 2016’s Anti. She was expected to release her reggae-inspired album by the end of 2019, but we have yet to see that as well.
