Revenge season is back.
More than six months after dropping Revenge of the Dreamers III, J. Cole’s Dreamville imprint returns with the much-anticipated deluxe edition. The project was confirmed earlier this month, following the release of a two-song pack featuring Ari Lennox’s “BUSSIT” and EarthGang’s “Still Up” with Reason.
The deluxe version consists of 12 additional tracks that were recorded during the label’s now-legendary 2019 recording sessions. Dreamville President Ibrahim Hamad teased the project last summer, ahead of the label’s appearance at ComplexCon Chicago: “If you in Chicago this weekend, look for the Revenge Booth, new tunes off that deluxe for you to check out,” he wrote. “Don’t ask me when the deluxe is coming neither, we working on it.”
Today exactly a year ago was the last day of the Revenge sessions in Atlanta. A year later we close Revenge out with an extra 12 song Deluxe. Much love to everyone who supports Dreamville and all the artist on the label, this one for y’all.— Ibrahim H. (@KingOfQueenz) January 16, 2020
ROTD3 deluxe includes songs led by Bas, JID, and Coz, with contributions by 6LACK, Vince Staples, Smino, Guapdad 4000, and Childish Major.
You can stream the project now on Apple Music and Spotify.
