The most recent iteration of the Black List, a summary of Hollywood’s most popular unproduced movie scripts, has been released. Amid the titles on the 15th annual longlist is Blue Slide Park, an unofficial biographical script based on the life of Mac Miller, Deadline reports.

The script was written by Kyle Anderson and Michael Vlamis, known for playing Michael Guerin on the CW show Roswell, New Mexico. The script has been adapted from the manuscript of journalist Paul Cantor’s upcoming biography of the late rapper.

Blue Slide Park’s logline reads, “After his first album topped the Billboard charts, life was never the same for Malcolm McCormick aka Mac Miller. This is his story of music, love, success, family, and addiction.”

Miller tragically died in September 2018 from an accidental overdose at 26 years old. A year later, three men were apprehended and charged in connection to his death.

There have been a number of budding documentaries and biographies on Miller. In June, filmmaker C.J. Wallis announced the launch of production on what he called the “definitive” Mac Miller documentary. However, the doc was later shelved indefinitely, a decision that was made at the request of the rapper’s family.

In October Miller's mother, Karen Meyers, alerted fans about an unauthorized biographer soliciting information from the rapper's friend, fans, and former business partners. She let everyone know the book wasn’t “authorized/approved by Mac's family or Estate. We are not participating and prefer you don't either if you personally knew Malcolm.”
