Titled "Sleepless," Wayne croons over an instrumental produced by WZRD BLD. In the lyrics, Weezy details a tortured relationship with a woman. Their connection is so toxic that Wayne can't find peace or rest despite trying to escape through drugs.
"You got me sleepless, sleepless in Miami," Wayne sings. "You go me sleepless when I'm on a xanny... You got me creeping inside my own mansion."
"Sleepless" is the first song off of RGB3 which will drop Dec. 18 on ethika.com. This is the underwear brand's fourth musical project following the two previous RGB tapes and 2018's The Prophesy project. According to Ethika's Vice President of Marketing, Danny Evans, these projects are a cultural expression and allow the brand to build something sustainable for musicians.
"The mixtape projects to us have always been about building a platform for both established and new artists. Putting out exclusive music was a concept we came up with in 2016," Evans said. "The artists took a risk and put their faith in us to create something new and innovative."
The explaination behind the concept of RGB can be found below:
"The concept behind RGB is based on the theory of "Additive Color." This is a process by which three different colors, Red, Green, and Blue, are mixed together in order to form thousands of colors and bring life to images, digital media, tv screens, and more. Standing alone, these colors are simply one dimensional, but when combined together, they become magical and give life to everything we see. This concept resonated with us and the RGB Mixtape project was born. Simply put, bringing together our Ethika Familie of Hip Hop Artists combined with exclusive designed Signature Ethikas to create a body of work that is much better as a whole than any individual part. Each artist was not only able to express themselves through their music on the mixtape, but also through the design of their Signature Ethikas."
Along with Lil Wayne, RGB3 will feature tracks from The Game, Trippie Redd, Kid Ink, 2 Chainz, Quando Rondo, and more.
