Drake takes on MC Kevin o Chris' hit single "Ela É do Tipo" with an official remix.
The Brazilian artist first revealed that Drake would be remixing his track via Instagram in late October, where he also shared a preview of the verse. But, fans didn't get to hear the finished product until Wednesday.
Drake starts off the track with a short verse that focuses on his love for a woman who is involved with another man. "First time I saw you, I wasn't thinking of you and I/I was just thinking of I," he sings. "So now we end up in this place we both hate/And I think it takes a sacrifice/Now face, it's not right, it's impractical/For you to leave that man and come and just be mine." Drake then accents Chris' Portuguese chorus with melodies in his native tongue.
The remix commemorates Drake's first time visiting Brazil. The rapper headlined the Rock in Rio Festival in September where he blessed fans with a monumental performance despite the rain. He later dispelled rumors claiming he didn't enjoy his time in Rio with an Instagram post calling the experience "the most fun I have had in a really long time."
