Having connected with esteemed music engineer Sean D a few years back, Jack The Plug—owner of Amsterdam coffee/cannabis spot The Plug—devised a plan to unite the talent that passed through the establishment, from both sides of the Atlantic.

It's here the genesis of Plug Talk was born, with the UK's own Dappy, D-Block Europe, Blade Brown and WSTRN included amongst the likes of Offset, Young Dolph, Roddy Ricch and Lil Baby for a collection of hazy, trap-influenced bangers, for a compilation offering a fresh update on the state of UK-US rap relations in 2019.

The "special relationship" between the UK and the States has also existed across the arts, but on a worldwide stage, market and cultural forces have relegated the UK's brand of rap to a far distant cousin. Where cannabis culture collides, Jack and Sean have eyed a chance to realign this on more equal footing.

"Collaborating with these artists was a vibe," said Jack of the LP. "The respect of each artist and what they're doing for urban music in their respective countries made the connection between the artists turn into something great. We're happy to be able to connect different European artists and show that good music can be made despite
the language barrier."
