Lil Nas X continues to prove he can't be restrained to one genre as the artist has now crept his way on to the rock charts.

On Tuesday, Billboard reported that Lil Nas X's "F9mily (You & Me)" and "Bring U Down" featuring Ryan Tedder have debuted on the Rock Streaming charts. But not only did the tracks make the list, but they've also actually breached the Top 10, sitting at No. 6 and 7 respectively.

This continues Lil Nas X's impressive run. By fending off pop powerhouses Tyler Swift and Ed Sheeran, "Old Town Road" spent its record-breaking 13th week atop the Billboard Hot 100. Also, his C7osure EP is the No. 1 Rap album in the country, moving close to 77,000 units.

But the most significant thing about Lil Nas X's crossover into rock is due to how his stardom even began. In April, Lil Nas X made headlines when it was announced the original version of "Old Town Road" would be removed from Billboard's country charts because the song didn't contain enough traditional elements of the genre. This sparked a massive backlash, leading country star Billy Ray Cyrus to hop on the song's remix. From there the track exploded, setting the stage for his genre-bending approach.

The rock charts news arrives after Lil Nas X proudly came out as an openly gay man. On the last day of Pride Month, the artist took to Twitter where he announced his sexuality. This came with a lot of praise and scrutiny. To the latter, Lil Nas X responded with playful trolls, showing how comfortable he is with himself.
