On Tuesday, which marks one year since the death of XXXTentacion, an official documentary on the divisive singer was announced. A teaser trailer for the untitled film was also shared to the official XXXTentacion Instagram account, with a caption stating it's "coming soon."
"All I can do is give you my pain and you feed all night to keep you alive," XXXTentacion is heard saying via voiceover in the newly released clip. Later, he tells the camera this will be the final time he tells his story.
"This is the full story and this is the last time I will tell it," he says. See the teaser below.
Tuesday also saw the release of Kodak Black's video for "Malcolm X.X.X.," an X tribute track from his 2018 Dying to Live album.
Others remembered X via memorial social media posts, including Makonnen and Ski Mask the Slump God. MadeinTYO, meanwhile, added in word that he was putting together a tribute event in X's honor, with a location and additional info set to be announced shortly.
Skins, X's brisk third studio album, was posthumously released in December and features the Kanye West x Travis Barker collab "One Minute" and more. The album opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking his second album to top the charts. Following his murder outside of a motorcycle dealership in Florida last year, the debate surrounding X's history of alleged abuse continued with the surfacing of secretly recorded audio.
J. Cole addressed the related criticisms aimed at those still embracing the musical legacy during an XXL interview back in March, arguing that he supports "accountability culture" but not outright "cancel culture."
