Young Thug Shares Snippet of Nipsey Hussle Tribute Track

The record finds Thugger reacting to news of the fatal shooting.

Young Thug reminds us that music and grief go hand in hand.

More than a month after Nipsey Hussle's untimely death, Thugger shared a snippet of an unreleased track honoring the late rapper. The song finds Thug reflecting on the details of Nipsey's murder and the pain that it caused to his loved ones.

"AK for these pussy n***as thinking they got stamina/Tell me that ain't Nipsey I just seen on that camera," Thug raps in the track. "[...] I can't see how n***as let him get shot/That lil baby ran up on him ain't nobody but him die/Trying to give n***as the benefit, but really I cannot/And I can only imagine the tears on him mother's and his wife's eyes."

The preview was shared on Instagram with the caption: "I luv u twin."

Thugger didn't reveal any information about the song, such as its title or expected release date. It's also unclear if the song is a stand-alone single or if it'll land on a full-length project. The rapper is currently working on a studio album, executive produced by J. Cole. Sources told Complex the rappers have already conducted recording sessions in NYC, but it's unclear when the project is expected to arrive.
