Trippie Redd shared his long-awaited debut album Life's a Trip back in August, but he's already back with new material. Over a DJ ChopSquad-produced beat complete with pitched-up samples, Trippie shows a different side of himself with the newly released "Topanga."

Speaking about the song, Trippie explained, "Singing real shit that people all over the world can relate to—timeless. Timeless music literally is a concept I can live on.”

It's definitely more mellow than some of the stuff he's been gaining attention for, but it's a style that works for him.

The rapper has been teasing his Love Letter to You 3 mixtape, which surfaced online for a short amount of time before disappearing, and featured "Topanga" on the tracklist.

Recently, Trippie said he would no longer be beefing with former collaborator 6ix9ine, commenting, "I'm not going to keep involving myself with somebody that's all bark and no bite. That shit dead, no cap." He went back on his word not long after, replying to a comment and calling 69 a "pedophile." As reported, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance back in 2015.

Trippie Redd will be joining Travis Scott, Sheck Wes, Gunna and Virgil Abloh on tour from Nov. 8. Get tickets here
