The road to Tha Carter V has been long and frustrating for Lil Wayne fans.

Within the six years since the album was announced, we’ve been teased with countless rumors, purported leaks, and annoying delays resulting from Weezy’s legal battle with Birdman and Cash Money. It’s no wonder so many fans questioned whether Tha Carter V would ever see the light of day; but thankfully for Wayne’s following, the longstanding doubts were finally squashed when he confirmed the album would arrive before the weekend.

And, no, it wasn’t another false alarm.
