Kanye West Files Paperwork to Launch Film Production Company

Mr. West seems to be setting his sight on the world of video and film. The G.O.O.D. Music founder and Yeezy connoisseur filed paperwork in August to launch a film production company called Half Beast, LLC.

Kanye West is the definition of a multi-hyphenate artist. The producer/designer/rapper/shoe mogul never seems to run out of ideas as he continues to expand his cultural empire. Now, Mr. West seems to be setting his sight on video and film production.

As TMZ reports, the G.O.O.D. Music founder and Yeezy connoisseur filed paperwork in August to launch a film production company called Half Beast, LLC. Per the tabloid, Ye already filed trademark paperwork in 2015 and 2016 under the same name, “Half Beast,” to gain the rights for entertainment services, movies, books, and more.

It’s unclear what Ye has in store for a production company, though he has been dipping his toes into the porn industry as of late. He served as a co-creative director for the 2018 Pornhub Awards, and supplied Yeezy x Pornhub merch. Could this be the beginning of Kanye's deep dive into the adult film industry?

While we wait to see what comes of Half Beast, Kanye continues to spend a lot of time in the studio working on new music. He’s been in Chicago helping Chance finish his new album, and released “I Love It” with Lil Pump. “I Love It” debuted at the Pornhub Awards over a week ago alongside a comically meme-able video. That visual featuring Pump and Ye sporting giant outfits now has the biggest-ever global debut for a hip-hop video on YouTube, beating Childish Gambino’s “This Is America.”

Ye also recently announced Watch the Throne 2 is happening, though JAY-Z has yet to speak on that.
