Amid all the shots delivered, and controversial lines uttered, it’s hard to believe that Eminem actually thought that there was a moment where he went "too far." In the teaser leading up to part three of his interview with Sway, Em suggests that there was an instance where Dr. Dre prevented him from doing just that on his newly released Kamikaze album.
On the new installment of his interview with Sway, Em alsotalked about his problems with Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt.
Speaking on their criticism of his music, Em remarked: "I really did like 'em. I thought their movement was really cool... I just felt like there was a mutual respect. [...] Listen man, you don't have to like it and it can really suck, but being that somebody really was cool to you, you would expect some kind of reciprocation. Just don't go public with it. [...] I chalk it up to them being young and just kids. I've been there. I was a dick when I first came out."
Then Sway cuts in to say: "Yeah man, you were."
Eminem continues: "Earl Sweatshirt gets in the interview after Tyler trashes me and then Earl Sweatshirt 'anybody who listens to Eminem is drinking too much Mountain Dew.' I was like really? What the fuck? You guys were just on tour with us. We hung out, we kicked it...So the last straw [...] In a certain point of time, someone has their breaking point. So when Tyler tweeted out the thing about 'Walk on Water,' 'this fucking song is horrible.' I was like alright. I need to say something now. Because this is fucking stupid. I'm not going let everybody just... I'm not gonna be America's punching bag."
Em also spoke about his use of a homophobic slur on the Kamikaze track "Fall," saying "I was angry when I said the shit about Tyler. [...] The word that I called him on... that song was one of the things where I felt like, this might be too far. Because in my quest to hurt him, I realized that I was hurting a lot of other people by saying it."
On "Fall," Eminem raps:
Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a (f*ggot), bitch
It's not just 'cause you lack attention
It's because you worship D12's balls, you're sack-religious
If you're gonna critique me
You better at least be as good or better

Some words, more than just two letters
In the previous editions of his interviews with Sway, Eminem has been more transparent than ever, speaking about where he thought things went wrong with the rap group Slaughterhouse. "For the most part, it wasn't a complete picture because everybody wasn't on the same page of what their favorite songs were," he explained. "So I thought they were gonna to go back home, regroup, and try to make a few more songs. I didn't hear anything from that..."
He also got down to the root of his feuds with Machine Gun Kelly and Joe Budden.
Eminem took the first part of his interview to explain how dropping Kamikaze by surprise was a response to people panning his previous projects, especially Revival. "I feel like giving them no warning was the best thing to do," he said. "When the Revival tracklist came down the pipe, it was overwhelmingly, 'This shit is going to be trash.' And nobody really wanted to be wrong about it. A lot of people had already formed their opinions."
