Trippie Redd recently hopped on an Instagram Live session to talk with fans and was joined by DJ Akademiks, who asked him about 6ix9ine's prediction that Trippie's debut album Life's A Trip would flop. 6ix9ine and Trippie have a complicated history, previously collaborating before falling out, and even though they're not on the best of terms right now, Trippie thought he'd give the Brooklyn rapper a compliment.

"Ay, I'm a music critic too, and guess what? Greatest duo of all-time," he proclaims to Akademiks regarding his collabs with 6ix9ine. "I feel like our duo was bigger than X [XXXTentacion] and Ski [Ski Mask the Slump God], I give him that."

He goes on to explain his comments further, saying, "They didn't make timeless music[...] I feel like X was just timeless on his own part. Ski had his own thing going on, too." It doesn't seem like he's trying to throw shade against either of the rappers, but it's still quite the statement considering the attachment fans felt to Ski and X's working relationship.

Trippie Redd had an extensive history with XXXTentacion, too, having collaborated with him numerous time. Most notably, the duo came together on "Fuck Love" from X's debut album 17. The two experienced their fair share of drama, famously falling out when Trippie was rumored to be working with Drake, who X very publicly showed his disdain for.
