6ix9ine’s “FEFE” Gives Nicki Minaj Her Highest Charting Song This Year

Not only is Tekashi 6ix9ine's "FEFE" Nicki Minaj's highest charting song of the year so far, but Drake has landed his 42nd career week at No. 1, putting him past RIhanna for most weeks atop the Hot 100 this decade.

Just over a week ago on July 22, controversial New York rapper 6ix9ine debuted his collaboration with Nicki Minaj, "FEFE." The Murda Beatz and Cubeatz-produced single has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Nicki's highest charting song of the year so far.

Nicki Minaj's previous singles, "Barbie Tingz," "Chun-Li," and "Bed" featuring Ariana Grande, peaked at No. 25, No. 10, and No. 43 respectively.

As Billboard reports, this week's edition of the Hot 100 (dated Aug. 4), has also given Drake another record to break. "In My Feelings" has stuck at the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks now, giving it the second-highest streaming week for a song, a record which Drizzy only broke last week. It's also worth pointing out that it marks Drake's 42nd week at No. 1 during his career, meaning he's overtaken Rihanna for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Hot 100 this decade.

Last week, Nicki Minaj and Future announced that 6ix9ine would be joining the two on their NickiHndrxx Tour, which kicks off Sept. 21 in Baltimore. It remains to be seen if 6ix9ine will keep himself out of trouble before the tour arrives, however, as he legal issues continue to mount.

In October 2015, 6ix9ine pled guilty to one felony count of use of a child in a sexual performance, while earlier this month he was arrested in New York fellow an incident wherein he allegedly choked a 16-year-old boy in Houston.
