In 2014, Childish Gambino surprised fans with the announcement of his collaborative mixtape with Chance the Rapper. And although the artist confirmed the project’s existence back in May, he’s revealed little information about the record, including its title and projected release date. The lack of details and the years-long wait has made many people wonder: “Will we ever get to hear a Childish/Chano mixtape?” Well, we may have some good news.
On Monday night, Chance posted an Instagram photo of himself standing next to Childish. He captioned the image: “Hawaii then LA, back to work. #roscoeswetsuit.” For those of you who don’t know “Roscoe’s wetsuit” is a reference to Childish’s Because the Internet screenplay, co-starring Chance. It’s unclear if the two are working on something related to the short film or finally completing that long-awaited tape. There's also a chance they were just catching up during the holidays, and aren’t collaborating on anything at all. Nevertheless, this post has definitely got fans' hopes up.
