How would you define a moment? A typical textbook definition says it has to do with importance, but that’s very one-dimensional.
During concerts, it’s something that you couldn’t imagine seeing anywhere else. The artist or crowd triggers a reaction that makes you want to relive it in your mind forever. Outside of spectacular live performances, music tends to create moments through storylines, beefs, album releases, and impressive feats on the charts.
Like most years, music in 2015 resulted in a number of major news stories that evoked tons of emotions for fans. You were happy for Fetty Wap when he dominated this summer with hit after hit. You were devastated when Zayn Malik announced he was leaving One Direction. You couldn't stop laughing when DJ Khaled made his Snapchat debut and educated fans on the keys to more success. You were bummed (at first) when you heard Adele’s “Hello” but soon started singing it loud and clear like Plies. And you were literally crying over the amount of “Hotline Bling” memes that flooded the Internet.
We’re a few days away from 2016, so we’ve compiled some of the best moments in music of the year. This is in no way a definitive list, but we wanted to take a look at moments that made a sizeable impression and got the biggest reactions. You’ll be remembering these for years to come.
