Drake's overall commercial success in the game continues to impress, as it was announced that his surprise project, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, has officially gone platinum. Since the project's release back in February, Drake moved a total of 1,006,000 copies of the project, after he opened with an impressive first week of 624,000 units in the first week.
If you're keeping track at home, this now marks four straight projects released by Drake that have gone platinum on the charts, following Thank Me Later, Take Care, and Nothing Was the Same. IFRITL was actually billed as a mixtape by Drake, though he sold it on iTunes and later in stores. Drake is currently working on his next studio album, Views From the 6, which is expected to be released sooner than later.
