Record-breaking Twitch star Kai Cenat says he’s been “banned” from the platform.
At the time of this writing, a message on the recent Streamer of the Year winner’s page said the channel was “temporarily unavailable” following an unspecified violation of the platform’s rules.
A source close to the situation told Complex on Tuesday the ban is “temporary” and was put in place following “repeated explicit simulated sexual activity in GTA over the weekend.” For now, neither Twitch nor Kai Cenat have publicly commented on the exact reason for the temporary ban.
The star has been a prolific and historic presence on the platform, notably having broken Twitch’s subscriber record in February of this year. Following word of the record’s smashing, Drake stepped up to urge a payment to Cenat in the amount of $50 million.
This week, Cenat drew the attention of Lil Yachty fans after the Let’s Start Here artist teased an unreleased country track on his channel.
Meanwhile, amid ongoing ban chatter, fans were quick to note this isn’t the first time Cenat has been temporarily barred from the platform. As such, longtime followers have again revived talks of him possibly taking his streaming community elsewhere.
