An increasingly widely cited case report details the experience of a 37-year-old man in the East Java area of Indonesia who got a lengthy nylon string stuck in his penis after inserting it into his urethra for “sexual gratification” purposes.
In recent days, the New York Post and similarly salacious outlets have shared reports on the “37-year-old virgin” who got roughly six feet of nylon string stuck in his penis. The source of this info is Radiology Case Reports, which is billed as an open-access journal that publishes case reports with a focus on diagnostic imaging. Within that field of interest are case reports on “foreign bodies,” i.e. objects that do not originate from inside the human body.
The 37-year-old in question, per the RCR-published case report, was admitted to the emergency room of a hospital in Surabaya with initial complaints of lower abdominal pain. The patient in question, who was later determined to have “no history of sexual intercourse,” had inserted a nylon string into his urethra while “fully erect” and watching porn.
According to the ensuing report, communication between responding medical personnel and the patient initially proved complicated due to an alleged combination of “embarrassment and a history of speech difficulties.”
Ultimately, the man was diagnosed with a urinary bladder foreign body. While a catheter-centered remedy attempt proved to be a failure, a subsequent “evacuation” procedure using forceps was able to provide the patient with relief. The report adds that the patient, who had no additional complaints, was discharged two days after the procedure.
