Three people are reportedly dead after a shooting at a Walmart located in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Early Monday, KFORreported that nearby schools had been placed on lockdown due to the shooting, which was reported via a call to local authorities just before 10 a.m. local time. The lockdown was later lifted upon receipt of an "all clear" from authorities.
The store is located near Highway 81 and West Plato Road. According to a separate report from KSWO, Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford confirmed that three people (two men and one woman) had been fatally shot outside the store, with the suspect believed to be among the deceased. It was not immediately clear if any arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.
"We are gathering information and will provide an update as soon as one is available," the Duncan Police Department said in a Facebook statement.
The fatal Oklahoma shooting arrives on the heels of a fatal shooting in Fresno, California over the weekend. Back in August, 22 people were killed at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas when 21-year-old Patrick Crusius opened fire on victims using a semi-automatic weapon.
