A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly killing his Uber driver in a hotel parking lot in the Harvey area of Louisiana.

According to a report from regional outlet WWL-TV, the Uber driver in question has been identified as 54-year-old Yolanda Dillion, who also worked as a budget analyst for the New Orleans Police Department. The suspect, identified as Brandon Jacobs, is alleged to have fatally stabbed Dillion following a ride from New Orleans to a hotel in Harvey. He’s also alleged to have shared footage of the aftermath of the fatal stabbing to Facebook.

Per online arrest records, Jacobs was arrested on Dec. 8 on a charge of second-degree murder. In a statement, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto said that deputies had initially been called to the scene at around 3:00 p.m. local time. When they arrived, deputies found Dillion inside her car, at which point she was taken to a nearby hospital and later died.

“Our investigation has shown that the victim was an Uber driver providing a ride to Jacobs from a location in New Orleans to the hotel,” the department said over the weekend. “When the ride ended, Jacobs stabbed her repeatedly before leaving the vehicle. Jacobs was later apprehended at the hotel. After his arrest, Jacobs was interviewed by our investigators. He admitted to stabbing the victim at the end of the ride. He told detectives that he selected the victim at random because he wanted to kill someone.”
