All press is good press when it comes to the McDonald's Grimace shake.

The limited edition berry-flavored milkshake, which was released on June 12 in honor of Grimace's 52nd birthday, has gone viral on TikTok with people documenting the horrifyingly fictitious effects from consuming the beverage.

According to KnowYourMeme, the bizarre trend was started by @thefrazmaz, who recorded himself as he excitedly tried out the Grimace shake only to end up dead on the floor with a puddle of the distinctly purple liquid near his mouth.

People have since taken the Grimace Shake trend and ran with it, creating documentary-style horror films, some of which have even been flagged for containing "disturbing" visuals.

McDonald's appeared to address the Grimace shake trend earlier this week, insinuating the purple creature is just willingly ignoring the horrors caused from the drink.
