Watch the Kenzo FW21 Film 'Kenzo Always'

Kenzo has shared an 11-minute film for its Fall/Winter 2021 collection titled 'Kenzo Always,' soundtracked by the exclusive song "planningtoKenzo."

Kenzo has shared its Fall/Winter 2021 film titled Kenzo Always.

Helmed by the luxury brand’s creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista, the film arrives a year after the release of his first collection for Kenzo. Baptista assumed the position from Opening Ceremony co-founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, who held the role for eight years. Founder Kenzō Takada passed away suddenly in October.

Baptista views the collection not as a “tribute, but rather a celebration,” according to a statement. “A celebration of the man, his work, and incredible vision.”

Baptisa continued, “Kenzo stood for freedom, joy, diversity, love of nature and creating harmony out of contrasts. I wanted colour and print to reflect all of this. An offering to Kenzo of all things he cherished. Landscapes, hortensias, birds, chains, roses, stripes, pansies, tulips and cocktail glasses…all mixed together in an imaginary colourful feast. Creation as our new elixir.”

Alongside the film, the exclusive song “planningtoKENZO” by English electronic musician Planningtorock soundtracks the 11-minute visual. Baptisa also curated a playlist, which you can stream here.
