Gunna has shared the cover art for his upcoming Drip Season 4 album, which arrives this Friday.

The cover reveal for the new Drip Season entry comes shortly after the teasing of a track with Young Thug and Future titled “Come On.” Contemporary artist Daniel Arsham is responsible for the art behind what Gunna says is the “final installment” of his years-long DS series.

“Thank you bro!” Gunna told Arsham in the comments of his own cover art reveal post, adding that he will “cherish this 4ever.”

“I’ve been a fan of Gunna’s music for quite some time and was pleased when he reached out to me a number of months ago through DM with questions about my work,” Daniel said in a statement. “He was very curious about how some of the pieces that I create are made. He was intrigued about the crystal materials I use and the idea of time travel and the future, present within the works. We connected in person a few times and at some point he asked if I wanted to work on the DS4 album cover with him.”

He continued, “Being a fan of the music, his vision, and his alter ego Wunna, working with him in this capacity was a very interesting proposition for me. We approached the creation in a slightly different way than how many of my sculptures are made. In order to get as much detail as possible, we 3D scanned his entire head and torso down to the details of his jewelry, chain, and sunglasses. We went through around 40 to 50 different iterations of the design before he and I settled on the one that graces the cover. I’m looking forward to DS4 getting out in the world and for everyone to see and hear what he has created. It is not the last time we’ll be working together.”

The album is out Friday on all major streaming services, setting up Jan. 7 as an uncharacteristically eventful drop day at the top of a new year, also welcoming The Weeknd’s Dawn FM.

Arsham, of course, is known an extended history of varied and impactful visual work, including previous collaborative projects with Ronnie Fieg and Kim Jones. Back in December, he shared a photo to Instagram documenting a link-up with Gunna and ASAP Ferg, among others.

The series-closing DS4 arrives roughly three years after the most recent entry, 2018’s Drip Season 3 mixtape. No. 4 also serves as the follow-up to Gunna’s most recent studio album, the Billboard 200-topping Wunna.

Last November, Gunna—who recently appeared on Roddy Ricch’s Live Life Fast track “Don’t I”—was among those named by Complex as the 20 best rappers in their 20s right now. Revisit the full list here.
