February was cold and the ice was even colder. Last month, many of our favorite celebs balled out on bedazzled chains, rings, and even Crocs Jibbitz. Hip-hop legend Missy Elliot made a piece inspired by one of her most iconic music videos. Drake spent a ticket on a ring that was dedicated to his son Adonis. And Tyler, The Creator was impressed by one of the quirkiest pieces of jewelry featured in this roundup.

Great jewelry will always catch our attention and here were some of the best pieces we saw last month. Check out more details on some of the biggest celebrity jewelry purchases from February below.

One of the biggest celebrity jewelry purchases made last month commemorates a major deal within the music industry. In February, it was revealed that Snoop Dogg was the new owner of Death Row Records. The pioneering West Coast hip-hop label, which was originally founded by Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, The D.O.C., and Dick Griffey in 1991, was owned by MNRK Music Group before Snoop purchased the label this year. Although no price was disclosed, Death Row Records was auctioned for a cool $18 million in 2009. One can only assume that Snoop threw down a couple Ms to acquire the label where he launched his own career at. Of course, to celebrate the occasion Snoop released his 20th studio album B.O.D.R. (Bacc on Death Row) and made himself a custom chain and pendant inspired by the album’s cover. The piece boasted 250 grams of gold and over 13 carats of natural VS diamonds. Snoop ended up wearing his new piece for his historic performance at the Super Bowl halftime show this year. Additionally, a month before his performance, Snoop Dogg also gifted Eli Manning his own Death Row Records chain. Although it’s difficult to estimate the value of Snoop’s chain, a toned down version can still cost as much as $8,000 alone.

Price: $77,000

Drake is known for being sentimental. And that also extends to his jewelry. Recently, Drizzy tapped New York City jeweler Alex Moss to craft a custom OVO-themed ring that included a tribute to his four-year-old son Adonis. The ring cost $77,000 and was made with 83 grams of 14 karat gold and 15.7 carats of VVS D-F natural diamonds. Of course, the ring resembles an owl with its wings stretched out. The face of the owl features the number 11, which is a reference to Adonis whose birthday is on Oct. 11.

Anwar Carrots is well known for his popular collaborations with Crocs. So, when the foam clog brand hit up the designer for another collaboration this year, Anwar went all out. For their second collab, Carrots released a new iteration of Crocs’ classic Clog dubbed the “Soil Clog.” Another limited-edition version of Crocs All-Terrain Clog came packaged inside a bag of soil with gardener gloves, fertilizer, and even carrot seeds. But Anwar topped off his second collaboration with some icing. Yes, he really hit up Alex Moss to make himself a personal set of blinged out Jibbitz. The pieces resembled a pair of gardening gloves, a watering can, a worm, a plant pot, and a carrot. In a video posted by Carrots’ Instagram, Tyler, The Creator can be heard giving the iced Jibbittz his stamp of approval. “This is what’s supposed to be done, though,” Tyler is heard saying while showing off his own iced out pins by Moss. “It’s the little things. I like my feet and shorts [pins]. It’s subtle.” Previously, Moss crafted a crazy chain for Tyler that captured his “Bellhop” look.

Missy Elliott definitely came through with one of the most creative pieces of celebrity jewelry last month. Recently, the hip-hop veteran commissioned B&B Jewelry to produce a piece inspired by her classic 1997 music video “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly).” A glossy pendant featuring Missy Elliot’s face from the video hangs off a heavy gold chain glistening with diamonds. It was a fitting way for the artist to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her debut album Supa Dupa Fly, which will arrive in July.

Clearly, Alex Moss had a busy month. Along with Drake and Anwar Carrots, the famous New York City skateboarder Tyshawn Jones also hit up the jeweler for a special project. Jones took the logo of his rising skateboard brand, Hardies Hardware, and turned it into a glistening diamond chain.
