Shout out to Farmland Foods for beating Supreme and its own game.
Last week, the nearly 60-year-old pork producer called out Supreme for releasing a fall/winter 2018 cap that featured a “super familiar” graphic. The hat was adorned with a front patch that looked identical to Farmland’s logo; the Missouri-based company quickly pointed this out on social media: “Hey #Supreme, that logo looks super familiar. We missed the drop – what do you think about sending a few our way?”
Though it appears Farmland hasn’t taken legal action against the iconic streetwear brand, that doesn’t mean the company is letting this issue slide.
One week after it poked fun at Supreme’s copycat stunt, Farmland released its very own lookbook inspired the streetwear culture; however, the company chose to add a few wrinkles—no pun intended—to their images: the lookbook was shot on a farm and starred elderly men rocking Supreme gear.
“Give us a heads up next time you’re ready for a collab, #Supreme. We’ve got the perfect models,” Farmland tweeted.
We couldn’t think of a better response.
