Rihanna Steps Down as Savage X Fenty CEO, Appoints Hillary Super: ‘She Is A Strong Leader’

Rihanna is stepping away from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Savage X Fenty, the lingerie company she founded in 2018.

Rihanna is stepping away from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Savage X Fenty, the lingerie company she founded in 2018.

As reported by Vogue Business, Rihanna has announced her replacement: former Anthropologie Group CEO Hillary Supe, who will take over ther pop star's CEO duties on June 26.

Rihanna, who is also the CEO of Fenty Beauty, will remain in a leadership role as executive chair for the time being.

“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer,” Rihanna said in an official statement.

Rihanna added, “I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO – she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level."

Back in 2018, months after founding Savage X Fenty, Rihanna spoke with Vogue about her goals for the brand.

"It's a celebration of womanhood," Rihanna shared. "I think it's a shame women have to feel insecure or self-conscious about how their bodies look. They've been taught by society that only one thing works."
